関税がかかるとあります。
その際は関税局まで引き取りに行くようにとも記載があります。

ちなみにどこから請求されていますか？
請求理由はなんだと言っていますか？

どちらにしてもどういった経緯で今の状況になっているか

Actually EMS policy describes that there are cases when customs duties may be incurred upon random inspection by the customs office. It also describes that you will be requested to pick up your package at the customs office in such cases.

Where did the request come from? And what do they say for the reason for the upfront fee?

In any cases, we are inquiring with the EMS agency here.

I wanted to update you about a corporate decision that was made this week about the Japan Market. Since we started selling to you exclusively, we gave up a large sales volume (while gaining peace of mind). I have sent several requests for the seller to advise me on the minimum requirements they have for return packing and shipping. I do not want them to have the excuse that I did not send the item back or that it was damaged when returned. If they look at their own pictures you can easily see that the camera was not as described. I trusted the sellers word and did not look at the pictures closely as a result. THis is my final request. Return postage from Canada to Japan is prohibitively expensive. I would prefer to adjust the price they charged me.

I had no idea about the price as I have never asked a job for a designer before. If one package costs 329, I am ready to pay the amount. Two packages are out of my budget, as you know.

200 is actually considerably lower than my base package (1 logo 1 revision). I would typically charge 329 for this. Would you be able to work some in trade, for example, $200 plus some of the items you will be selling with the logo on it?

I will first sketch out ideas, so you will see multiple concepts in the beginning, but you will choose 1 concept for me to finalize. 2 concepts to finalize I would typically charge 599 and I know that's out of your budget.

This sounds really cool what you are doing, and I am definitely interested. The timeline once the contract is signed, is typically 2-4 weeks. This is affected by how much your budget is. I am usually able to negotiate how many revisions, and how many different logo concepts I will finalize based on your budget.
