In 1997, they released "KEEP YOUR RECIEPT" including the cover songs of '97 Operation Ivy. In 1998 they visited Japan for the first time on their "WARPED TOUR JAPAN". Their exquisite harmonizing chorus and "silly" party sound became popular in Japan. "Take On Me", the cover song of a-ha and included in their album "WHY DO THEY ROCK SO HARD?" released in 1999, made a popular success as an insert song of "Baseket ball: the man with a naked ball", shown to public in the same year.

In '97 it was announced " KEEP YOUR RECIEPT " EP , including the cover songs of Operation Ivy . In 1998 during WARPED TOUR JAPAN it was the first in Japan. After that, they changed members several times, and are still performing energetic lives at the forefront of the punk scene centering Aaron. Since their last visit Japan in 2003, their fans wanted them to visit Japan again. And at last it will true in SKA BRAVO. They will visit Japan again after 12 years!!

KEMURI appeared on Fuji Rock Festival. Its performance was so overwhelming for the crowd that filled White State that a huge storm arose in the audience seats. They have visited Japan the most frequently among all the US artists that are coming this time. It will be their first visit in two years after their solo tour in 2013. It also has made extensive coupling tours in Europe with REEL BIG FISH since last year. Since Fumio Itoh of KEMURI watched their show in London in February, 2012, the two bands have been renewing their friendship.

The originator that built up their band-style by adding the horn to the character of American Korean Mike and the hardcore punk. They are popular like a hero centering in the west coast. While they build their career, they charge only 5-7 dollars (about 6-800 yen) for their live, and sell their CD at less than 8 dollars. They develop their activity based on DIY (Do it yourself). They disbanded in 1996. Although their band activity was only for 7 years, their contribution to the music scene was great. They are told by word of mouth as "Sukapunk band of the legend".

The originator is a Korean American, Mike, who added horn sections to his own color and his hardcore punk to create the new band style. He has been extremely popular especially on the West Coast. While he is building his career as an artist, he sells the ticket for his live show at $5-7 and runs his CD's at no more than $8, which is based on his DIY spirit. His band itself broke up in 1996. Although the band lasted only 7 years, it greatly contributed to its scene. That is why the band is still talked about as "Ska Punk Band Legend"
