スマート洗面台&スマート野菜工場|安価なAndroidOSを組み込んだ半歩先行くソリューション
皆さん、去る5月に東京ビッグサイトにて行われた「2014 Japan IT Week 春」はご覧になりましたでしょうか
我々テクテクはメンバー全員で行ってまいりました(ただし取材枠ではありません)
その中で異彩を放っていたサービスを今回はご紹介したいと思います。
「スマート洗面台」をご存知でしょうか?
某ニュース番組などでも取り上げられたりしているので、

テクテク読者の皆様はもしかしたら既にご存知かもしれませんが、改めてご紹介いたします。
スマート洗面台は洗面台の中にAndroidOSが組み込まれた鏡型情報端末です。
鏡にはニュース、交通情報、天気予報などが表示されます。もちろん表示情報はアプリによって様々にカスタマイズが可能です。元がAndroidOSなので、動画や広告を表示したりもお手の物ですね。
操作は鏡に手をかざすことで行います。触らずに操作ができるため、鏡を汚してしまう心配はありません。
The smart washstand is a mirror style information terminal, which installs Android OS.
News, traffic information, or weather forecast can be displayed on the mirror. Of course, the information can be customized in a variety of ways by an app. As the origin is AndroidOS, it is so easy to display video and ads. as well.
It can be controlled by putting a hand over the mirror. You don't have to touch it, which means you don't have to soil it.
Smart Washbasin is a Mirror-style information device with AndroidOS embedded inside the washbasin.
You can check news, traffic information and weather report on the mirror. Of course, customisable apps enable you to select any kind of information you like. The AndroidOS-based device has no problem to show movies or ads.
You can control Smart Washbasin by waving your hands over the mirror. You don't have to worry about making it dirty, since you can control without touching it.
Smart sink is a mirror type information terminal, which was incorporated AndroidOS in its sink.
News, traffic information, weather forecast, and more information will be reflected in the mirror. Of course you can customize those reflected information by using application. It is a piece of cake to reflect movies or advertisements, because it incorporated AndroidOS.
To operate, shade the mirror with your hand. Because we can operate it without touching it, we don't have to worry about making the mirror dirty.
実は今回のEXPO前にバージョンアップが施され、Leap Motionを使用したより精度の高いジェスチャー操作を実現しています。
床部分には体重計が内蔵されており、体重の測定と記録を自動化しています。
さらに水道の蛇口とも連携しており、自動的に水道の使用量を記録することも可能。
一日に洗面台に向かうタイミングは限られますが、その時にどんな情報が表示されていると便利か?という側面から見た場合、天気や交通情報は出発前に有用な情報だし、毎日の体重測定も良い機能ですよね。

こちらは実は去年のEXPOでも展示されていましたが、今年も引き続きの出展になります。
こちらは一般家庭というより、水耕栽培や植物研究の分野に向いています。
光、水など植物の管理に必要な要素はすべてセンサーで取得・管理できるようになっており、環境情報の計測、生育状況の記録、光や水を操る環境制御など全てモニタリング・管理が可能
Another solution developed by the same company is "Smart Vegetable Plant."
As a matter of fact, the solution is going to be displayed for the second time since the EXPO last year.
The technology is developed for aquaculture and the study of plants, rather than household uses.
The plant collects and manage light and water required for cultivating plants, while calculating environmental information, recording growing rate, and controlling light and water in the environment.
In addition, a solution created by the same company is the “Smart Vegetable Factory”.
This solution was also exhibited during the last EXPO and it will continuous be exhibited this year.
This is suited for the field of the aquaculture and the plant study than for the ordinary homes.
The solution provides for monitoring and management of factors necessary for the cultivation of plants including the light, water and the others; it enables to monitor and to manage the environmental information; recording of growth status, and manipulating the environment including the light and the water.
One more,a solution made by the company is "smart vegetable plant".
This is actually exhibited at last-year EXPO,and will continually be displayed.
This is suited for the field of water cultivation and plant research rather for ordinary home.
Light ,water and the like needed for control of plant is fetched and controlled by sensor.And,measurement of surrounding information.record of growth condition and surrounding control to manipulate the light and water,can be monitored and controlled.
それを担っているのがAndroidOSなんです。
データはクラウド化され、外出先や遠隔地でも制御が可能。
紹介されていたのは水耕栽培キットの延長線上といった趣でしたが、規模を大きくすることはそう難しいことではないと思います。将来、大規模な農家さんとかでも使われるようになるかもしれませんね。
はこうした管理・モニタリング系のソリューションは世の中にすでにいくつか存在しています。
でも、いずれもワンオフで制作されたもので非常に高価だと言わざるを得ません。

これも一重にAndroidOSの汎用性(オープンソース、SDKの無償提供)が成せる業だと思います。
こういうものを見てしまうと、世の中の色々なセンサー技術とAndroidOSが結びつきそうだと妄想してしまいます。
