Kyoto JC Cultural Boy Scouts was founded in 1979 in hopes to "create and develop healthy, Kyoto-oriented culture for kids and to nurture a certain love for their home town in the next generation, by extending the cultural circle of children and seeing Kyoto through their clear and pure minds."

Kyoto JC Culture Scouts was established in 1979 with the purpose of "increasing children's cultural circles, creating and developing community-rooted healthy culture for children by letting them understand our native province, Kyoto, with their fresh and naive eyes and hearts. Also to grow steady and secure love for their hometown among "children's culture" that shoulders the 21st century."
