亀石
下から見上げると亀のように見えることから亀石と呼ばれています。
日本では古くから「鶴は千年亀は万年」と言われ、亀や鶴は長命であることから縁起物の象徴とされており、この石も大切に守られています。

It is named after the way it appears like a turtle if you look up at the stone from the bottom.
Since long time ago, a Japanese saying goes "a crane lives for a thouthand years and a turtle for ten thouthands years. So these animals are regarded as a symbol of good luch for its longlife, and this rock has been carefully protected.
