Xiaomi restarts India sales December 23 after winning temporary reprieve on ban

After Xiaomi yesterday won a temporary reprieve on its India sales ban, today Hugo Barra confirmed that sales of one phone model will restart in the country next week.

Barra, in a statement posted to Facebook, said the Redmi 1S will go back on sale in India on December 23, followed by the Redmi Note 4G at an unspecified later date.

This was Tencent’s second consecutive investment into Kamcord, which reports 25 million videos shared.

Tencent and Baidu set up a US$814 million joint venture with Dalian Wanda Group, a conglomerate best known for its chain of movie theatres. The aim is to accelerate the three companies’ goal of in-store mobile payments. Wanda owns 70 percent of the company, while Baidu and Tencent split the remainder. WeChat users will be able to use WeChat payments or TenPay to buy goods and services on Wanda properties.

Tencent is bringing Puzzle & Dragons to China: better late than never?

Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal broke the news that Tencent will be bringing the popular Japanese mobile game Puzzle & Dragons to China next year, “according to a person familiar with the matter.” Does that mean a massive windfall of cash is imminent for the Chinese game publisher?

昨日、ウォール・ストリート・ジャーナルは関係者の話として、Tencentが来年、日本で人気のある携帯電話用ゲームアプリ、パズル＆ドラゴンズ を中国へ投入する予定である事を伝えた。これは 棚ぼた式に、今にも巨額なキャッシュが、この中国のゲーム販売会社へ転がり込むという事であろうか？

On the one hand, this move may be coming a little late. Puzzle & Dragons was white hot in 2013, but since then its growth has slowed. In fact, it was just dethroned as Japan’s top mobile game and its top-grossing mobile game by a newer game called Monster Strike, published by Mixi. By the time Puzzle & Dragons launches in China in 2015, the game’s popularity may well have sunk even lower.

Probably, this guitar must have been parallel imported to Japan, I don’t have the certificate with me but I am certain that this is one of pieces what Mr. OO made. It comes with original case and tremolo arm. Since we are not sure if we can ask F Company to provide COA and other detail information given the serial number, please kindly contact and ask them directly. Ericsson has mounted similar litigation against other phone makers, including Micromax, Gionee, and Intex, according to SpicyIP, which originally broke the news. But the court seems to have expedited the case against Xiaomi due to the company’s alleged refusal to respond to Ericsson’s complaints.

However, SpicyIP notes that the law under which the injunction was granted is questionable. The international TRIPS Rules from 2007 only applies to copyrights and trademarks, not patents. That means the law might be overstepping its mandate.
