This Position Statement is directed toward Dealers. Trading companies, importers, exporters and distributors are also entitled to the same dealer benefits outlined in this position statement and must abide by the regulations outlined in this statement and by further detailed agreements.
We insist that Cabela's dealers have an established retail store in their country in order to qualify for a dealership. We request that they send us a copy of their business license, license for re-sale, registration status and pictures of their retail store. This requirement enables Cabela’s to make an informed decision on the requestor’s legitimacy.

Once an individual or company becomes a dealer, the dealer is entitled to discount consideration on orders, shipping fees, and, on occasion, periodic specials such as liquidations and large quantities of discontinued merchandise throughout the year for merchandise purchased for resale only. Dealers are allowed to purchase merchandise bearing Cabela’s name and other brands not precluded by agreements with our vendors. If a customer is found to be collecting discounts on orders not purchased for resale, all Dealer privileges will be revoked and legal action will be taken to collect all monies owed to Cabela’s.

Dealers will be subject to actual freight costs. Merchandise discounts are considered on an individual basis because each product we sell carries a different percent of mark up. Dealer’s expenditures are computed on an annual basis which will be automatically computed by Cabela’s internal programming. Dealers may determine discount pricing utilizing the following procedure:
Fax, e-mail or mail your RFQ (Request for Quote) with proposed Terms of Sale to the International Sales department. Please include all quantities, set numbers, sizes and the final ultimate destination on the RFQ.
Cabela’s in turn will respond to your RFQ via a Proforma Invoice explaining the details of the international transaction. If quantities, accurate catalog item numbers, and ultimate destination are not provided, a quotation will not be possible. We encourage Dealers to utilize www.cabelas.com for detailed item information.
In the event that there is a dispute concerning the dollar amount of the dealer's expenditures, Cabela's computations will be the determining factor in decisions. Once pricing is determined and Cabela’s has received payment, the order generally ships within 24to48 hours. In-transit time is between 7 and 14 business days for orders shipping outside the United States via UPS International Air.

Rush service for stateside orders is available upon request. A dealer will not be awarded an exclusive dealership, nor will he be allowed to use Cabela's name, trademark or slogan (World's Foremost Outfitter) in print, in advertising or in store displays without Cabela's prior written consent. However, a dealer will be allowed to reproduce pictures of merchandise bearing Cabela's name and to sell merchandise bearing Cabela's name in a retail store. A dealer may not indicate that he is a Cabela's representative, dealer, distributor or in any other way indicate that he is associated with Cabela's or representing Cabela's as an authorized agent of our trademark without Cabela's prior written consent.
If you choose to ship your order state side to a freight forwarder, orders will ship UPS ground with 3-5 business day delivery.
He also may not publish pictures of Cabela's retail stores or use Cabela's catalogs in his advertising. Exceptions to the foregoing guidelines may be considered on an individual basis. Requests for exceptions must be submitted in writing. Cabela's will provide written permission if the request is acceptable.
A dealer may use licensed Cabela's trademarks and copyrighted materials on the World Wide Web only under the following conditions:
1:The dealer must provide Cabela's with samples and or examples of the manner in which Cabela's marks and/or copyrighted materials will be used on the Internet prior to publishing same on the Internet. Cabela's will provide written permission if the samples and or examples are acceptable. Use of Cabela’s pictures with models is extremely limited. You are encouraged to use pictures of merchandise only.
2:Internet materials must clearly indicate that the specific Cabela's trademarks used by the dealer on the Internet are "Trademarks of Cabela's Incorporated"; that copyrighted materials have been "reproduced with the permission of Cabela's Incorporated”

Dealers with foreign language websites who wish to sell Cabela’s merchandise on their ecommerce website must contact Cabela’s International Dealer Department with a written proposal for consideration. After review by Cabela’s; consideration will be given on a case by case basis; and an additional clause will be attached to these terms and conditions. Failure to comply will result in legal action.
If the dealer wishes to sell products purchased from Cabelas that bear a manufacturer's name other than Cabela's, it is the dealer's responsibility to contact those specific companies to ascertain whether permission is needed to resell their products in his country.

Dealers may not change any of the merchandise purchased from Cabela's in any way except for customization done by Cabela’s. Dealers may not purchase products from an outside source and repackage that merchandise to indicate in any way that it is Cabela's merchandise. Cabela's may control who the dealer sells to and may also control the dealer's territory if so desired.
Cabela's name is internationally renowned and respected. It is imperative that Cabela's name and reputation be upheld and protected by our Dealers. Dealers are asked to handle complaints, exchanges and returns with the same "Legendary Guarantee" that our customers have come to expect.

Once the customer is satisfied, the dealer may seek restitution from Cabela's for merchandise that is defective, damaged in shipping or erroneously shipped by Cabela's. We ask that the dealer accumulate defective, damaged or erroneously shipped merchandise until the value is over $100.00 (U.S. funds) and then return them to Cabela's in the United States for processing. The dealer must first contact the International Dealer Sales department to acquire a return authorization number. Merchandise returned without this number will not be accepted. Merchandise that is not defective, damaged in shipping or erroneously shipped by Cabela's will not be accepted on return.
