特に、せんだいメディアテークにおける「“10 Anniversary of Sendai Mediatheque “HOW BARRIER IS”」ではメディアテークの建物の南側のダブルスキンガラスの両面にクラフトペーパーを使い、透明でなかなか来館者が気づいてこなかったガラスを、両面に紙を貼ることによって見事に意識づけました。

まさに北川氏がそれまで行ってきた、建築を意識させながらも建築を大きく超える可能性を顕在化させるという決定的作品であることは疑いなく、スケールやコストからも彼と当館の代表作と言っても過言では有りません。
また以前より伊東豊雄氏の建築であるメディアテークとしては建築的なアプローチでコラボレーションしながらインスタレーション作品を制作できるアーティストと恊働することを考えてきたのでこの１０周年のプロジェクトは非常にお互いにおいて意義深い結果を得る事ができました。
