The victims are living in an unsanitary environment; most of them who evacuated have not taken a shower since the earthquake, and some have developed rashes because of this. There is no water to flush the toilet. Some shelters are next door to buildings used for keeping recovered dead bodies....buildings covered with stench of death.

As it will take many months, or even years to restore these cities, and those in Northern Japan will need our long-term support, we would like to continue to donate until the end of the year.
