というくらいにしかコスプレの意味はとられてないのかもしれません。
でも、あまりのクオリティに圧倒され、言葉を失うこともあります。
コスプレをしていて自分自身もすごく楽しいですし、
人を喜ばせることができる最高のエンターテイメントだと思っています！


－素敵な想いを教えてくださりありがとうございます。

今回のインタビューもそうですが、コスプレを通じて、これまでに素敵な
方々とのたくさんの出会いがありました。

In general, the cosply is seen just as "dressing up costumes like characters in comics, movies, and stages."
But you could get knocked out to forget what to say when you see such great cosplay quality.
I really enjoy myself when I do cosplay.
Cosplay is the greatest entertainment which can make people happy!

－外国の方との交流も生まれたんですものね！

外国の方からのメッセージは特に衝撃でした。
それまで、学校の授業で勉強としてでしか利用しなかった英語。
コスプレをしていたから、言語はコミュニケーションツールだということ、
相手の文化を知る第一歩だという本来の意味を知ることができました。

－今回のインタビューは海外の方向けに翻訳して配信するのですが、
今後海外のイベントへの参加の可能性はあるのでしょうか？

I think I was really lucky that I could have met so many event staff, photographers, and other people with warm heart.

- And you could exchange circles with people overseas!

I was thrilled to get messages from the foreign countries.
Until then, I only could use English as a studying object in school.
I have learnt for the first time, and from the bottom of my heart that the language is communication tool, and it is the fist step to get to know their culture.

- This interview will be translated and distributed to media oversea.
Do you have plans to participate the international events in the future?

－ブラックレディをされた時のエピソードはありますか？

ほとんどのコスプレイヤーさんは流行りの作品の衣装を着ているので、
イベントで着るのは少し抵抗があった…というのが正直な気持ちです。
また、大胆にアレンジを加えていたので、原作ファンの方から批判される
だろうな、とも思っていました。

でも、そんな心配は会場についたら吹き飛んでしまいました！

When I make it the next time, I think it still has little more room for improvement.

- Is there any episode when you wore the costume as the Black Lady?

These days, most cosplayers wear costume of current trends, I was little hesitant when I wore the costume of the Black Lady at events.
I have made my own arrangement on the costume drastically, so I was afraid that the fans of the original would attack me.

But such worry was blown away when I got to the venue!

約8年程前にコスプレというものに出会い、姉のYC.優と二人で地元福島と東京のイベントで活動をしています。

－取材をさせて頂く前に、お姉さんと一緒に映っているお写真もいくつか拝見させて頂いたのですが、どれも原作を生かした世界観が素敵で。
どうしたらそんな表現ができるのでしょうか？

普段から、様々な作品・アーティストから影響を受けています。

I have encountered so-called cosplay about eight years ago, I have been joining events in my local, Fukushima, and Tokyo with my sister, YC Yu

- Before we begin our interview, I have seen the pictures of you, and your sister, and I was amazed since every picture reflects the atmosphere of the original.
How could you make such expression?

I am influenced by a variety of works, and artists all the time.

今回のブラックレディであれば、原作はもちろんのこと、アーティストの
ALI PROJECTさん、シルクドゥソレイユのサーカス衣装などにも
インスピレーションを受けました。

－なんと！アニメやコミックだけの影響ではないんですね！

そうですね。キャラクターをコスプレに起こすという作品作りを通じて、
普段感じた感動を昇華できたら、と思っています。

－なるほど。今回のブラックレディもカノンさんならではの
アレンジが加えられていますね！

For the Black Lady, I got the influence by the original work of course, the artist ALI PROJECT, and the circus costume of Cirque du Soleil circus.

- Wow! It's not only from Anime and Comics!

That's right. I always hope to turn what I feel everyday into reality, through creating cosplay costumres out of the Anime/Comic characters.

- I see. You made your own arrangement into The Black Lady this time.

武内直子先生の原作そのままでも十分素敵だったのですが、
作品やキャラクターを知らない人にも楽しんで頂きたかったので、
思い切ってゴージャスな衣装にアレンジしました。

実は幼い頃、実写版のセーラームンを見たことがあったんですが、あまりにも
イメージと違ったことがショックでトラウマになってしまったんです。
人間が演じていることも前提の上で、全然違うよ!!!って。苦笑

－子供は、作り手の都合まで考えないですもんね。笑

The original costume in the work of the master Naoko Takeuchi was already fantastic, but wanted to amuse the people who does not know the original comic and character. So I made the costume so gorgeous.

When I was young, I saw the live-action version of 'Sailor Moon', but I got so shocked that I was traumatized.
Even though I knew actresses played them, I was still shocked. "It is so different!!" LOL

- As a kid, You would not consider their circumstances. Lol

子供の見る目はとてもシビアで、間違いがないと思っているので、
実写版を見て傷ついた、幼い頃の自分からもクレームがこないように…
という想いもありました。

【●ブラックレディの特徴的な髪型を再現！】

－制作期間はどのくらいかかっていますか？

おおよそ2週間程度です。
今回のブラックレディの場合は、準備期間がほとんどでしたね。
実際に手を動かしたのは3日くらいでした。
理想の布を探して何件もお店を渡り歩いたりしましたが、福島は東京ほど
素材が揃っていないので、ネット通販で購入したものも多いです。

I think that Children see the world in very severe and accurate way.
And I did not want to get complaints from myself in my childhood, who got shocked to see the live-version... That is what I thought.

【● The distinctive hairstyle of the Black Lady was perfectly replicated!】

- How long did you work on creating the Black Lady?

It took me approximately two weeks.
In the case of the Black Lady, I spent most of the time for preparation.
I worked on it around three days.
I wandered from shop to shop finding the right fabric. But the shops in Fukushima do not have all the material I need, I ordered them in internet as well.

－いつもご自身で制作されているんですか？

今では山のようにコスプレ衣装販売店ができましたが、
自分が始めたばかりの頃はそういった販売店がまだなくて。
なので全部手作りだったり、既製品を改造したりしていました。


－キャラクターの衣装を、実際着れるものにするのは難しそうですね…

もともとは『絵』なので、それをそのまま人間が着ると、あまりにダサかったり
違和感が拭えないことがほとんどです。(苦笑
もちろんそのままでも大丈夫なキャラクターもいます。

- Do you make the costumes yourself?

Lately, there are many Cosplay costumes shops everywhere.
But I could not find those shops when I started cosplay.
So I needed to make them by my own hands, or remodel ready-made clothes.

- It seems so difficult to make real clothes you can wear out of the Comic character's....

Since the clothes are originally out of "pictures," it looks amzingly ugly and dumb, or strange if you wear them as they are. LOL.
You can wear some of costumes without adjustment, of course.

They are used speakers and I felt they were in excellent shape for used(the jewel speakers are very fragile...dents, chips, etc...). one step above excellent is "near mint" then "mint" then "new" at least in my book. What cosmetic issue did you have with them?
