On a sort of related note, Instagram launched its long-awaited version for Android last year, but it is currently of very limited use in China without the Sina Weibo sync support that its iOS app enjoys.

In the time it took Baidu to buy the startup and relaunch it recently, the Finnish company Tuding seems to be picking up a sizeable amount of China’s smartphone users with a claimed four million folks on its own photo-sharing app.

MCINTOSHのMA6200の件です。先日まで、出張のため、先日届きましたプリアンプを確認したのですが、音が全く出ません。何度も試しましたがダメです。機能は問題なしとのことで購入したので、非常にショックです。修理屋に、問い合わせたところ、修理代500ドル以上はかかるとのことでした。音も出ない、ノイズもない全くの無音のため、回路系統の故障とのことです。500ﾄﾞﾙで結構なので、ご返金いただけませんでしょうか？とにかく困ってます。一大事です。ご連絡お待ちしております。

This is regarding to MCINTOSH MA6200.

I was out of town.

And, I unpacked and installed those audiovisual apparatuses in the other day.

But, I cannnot hear in the both speaker.

I tried many times, worth a damn.

I bought it because the product has any problems for nothing.

It was the shocking event.

I asked an audio repair shop.

They told me that repair charge will cost me 500 dollars or above.

No sounds come out from the speakers. And there's no noise, too. They explained it as circuit system malfunction.

I want to put in a claim 500 dollars for the repair charge.

マッキントッシュC26のプリアンプの件です。先日まで出張のため、昨日、本日と届きましたプリアンプを確認したのですが、PHONOにすると片方の音が全く出ません。何度やっても全くダメです。他のアンプでは出ます。このアンプはPHONOが完全に壊れてます。PHONOをメインで使用するために購入したので。オーディオ修理屋に、聞いたら、最低、点検料200ドルはかかるとのことでした。200ﾄﾞﾙで結構なので、ご返金いただけませんでしょうか？納得ができません。ご連絡お待ちしております。

This is about a Macintosh C 26 preamplifier.

I was out of town. So,I received yor packages the day before and today, separately.

And, I unpacked and installed those audiovisual apparatuses.

But, when I chose PHONE on the preamplifier, cannot hear in one speaker,worth a damn.

It can work on the other preamplifier.

This preamplifier's PHONE is broken totally.

I bought this one mainly for PHONE use.

I asked an audio repair shop. They answered it costs 200 dollars, at least, for the inspection.

I want to put in a claim for the repair charge.

Kowtow Alert: TuneIn Censors Its Own Radio App in China

China’s web isolationism has taken a bizarre new turn with the American radio streaming app TuneIn admitting that it is censoring its own app at the behest of Chinese authorities. It means that users of the TuneIn mobile app can no longer access most foreign radio stations from within the app – despite many of them (such as NPR from the US, or the BBC from the UK) not being blocked by the Great Firewall.

慎み深くお知らせします： TuneInが、自身のラジオアプリを中国で検閲。

アメリカの企業によるラジオストリーミングアプリ TuneIn が中国政府から検閲の申し出を受け、自身でその検閲作業を行うことを受け入れた模様だ。

中国の孤立主義は、異様な新局面へと向かっているようだ。

アメリカのNPR、イギリスのBBCなどのラジオ放送は、ネット上で、中国政府による検閲を受けていないない。
それにも拘わらず、TuneInのモバイルアプリのユーザーは、もはや、他国のラジオ放送を殆ど聴くことが出来ない状態になっている。

Talking to Tech In Asia, a TuneIn representative said:

"We are complying with Chinese government regulations to remove aspects of our service in China."

Further attempts to clarify how this all came about were met with silence over the weekend. We’ll update if we hear more from TuneIn.

The self-restriction means that, for example, any attempt to listen to BBC Radio 4 when located in China causes the app to redirect you (pictured above) to “a similar station” after saying that the station you wanted “is not available.” And so BBC Radio 4 now redirects to the state-approved Voice of the Straits (VOS) radio channel which runs state-sanctioned news relating to relations between mainland China and Taiwan. A victory for Net Nanny.

A great many other English-language stations are now also self-censored by TuneIn, including American public radio. These tend not to redirect as part of the new TuneIn restrictions, and instead fail to stream with a “station not available” notice.

One of the few things to now work in the app is state-run China Radio International (CRI) and random assortments of Chinese-language local radio. Bizarrely, many other local stations no longer work in the app – such as the English-language station Shanghai Love Radio, or the Chinese-language Shanghai FM 101.7. It’s all pretty screwed, with no apparent logic to it. All local radio already complies with strict media regulations, and so is inherently uncontroversial.

アプリの中で現在選局出来る、数少ないラジオ局には、国営の China Radio International (CRI) が含まれています。

Kickstart: “Only” incubator in Philippines with “existing strong ties” to community

Startup incubator Kickstart has launched in the Philippines last month, part of a recent spate of new accelerators that have set up shop in the country. It is now calling for submissions for startups who want to receive an investment.

Christian Besler, the incubator’s vice-president and community engagement head, bills Kickstart as “the only Incubator in the Philippines with existing strong ties to the local grassroot community.”

Explaining this, he says that Kickstart was part of the team that organized last year’s StartupWeekend Manila, the first such event in the country.

They received feedback from the startup community that there was hardly any local support network and access to funding from Filipino entrepreneurs were limited.

The situation is slowly changing. Another incubator, IdeaSpace, launched in the country at around the same time as Kickstart, and aims to “jumpstart the creation of a Silicon Valley-like ecosystem in the Philippines”.

Other accelerators that have started recently include Wireless Wings, Launchgarage, and the UP Enterprise Center for Technopreneurship.

For Kickstart, they are planning to invest about 10M Pesos (US$250K) per startup, with exceptions made if warranted. They are starting off with 100M Pesos (US$2.5M) in deployable funds.

Startups are encouraged but not required to stay on premises, but that would depend on its stage of development and specific needs. Kickstart will also not focus on a particular set of industries, but “ rather on innovative and maybe also disruptive mobile and web solutions.”

The incubator is open to citizens and non-citizens alike, although they must be based in the country.

支援団体であるキックスタートは、新規事業毎に、1000万フィリピン・ペソ（25万アメリカドル）の投資を予定している。正当なものであれば、例外なくである。
