This module comes with our USB Field Upgrade and Configuration Port! BEFORE YOU INSTALL, we encourage you to connect the module using the supplied USB cable and check for firmware updates. All information and software regarding this new feature can be found at www.mods4cars.com/usb. You can even configure and activate your favorite module functions and settings on screen before the module is installed in the car! It is also possible to permanently install the USB cable with the module in the car, leaving the PC end in an easily accessible spot for later use with a Wifi laptop.

The green InstallAID™ LED signals a correct installation and shows the status of the module.
LED OFF
Ignition OFF: CAN bus and module are in low-power standby mode. This is normal.
Ignition ON: Either power connection or CAN bus connection is interrupted. Check the two wire taps for power and ground as well as the CAN connectors. Also make sure the CAN polarity is correct.
LED either dimly lit or flickering erratically
A dim or flickering LED is an indicator for interrupted or missing POWER or GROUND connections. The module will get some leakage current from the CAN bus which causes the LED to stay dimly lit or flicker erratically. See previous paragraph about t-taps!
LEDがオフのとき
イグニションオフ：CANバスとモジュールは低電力スタンバイモードになっています。これはノーマルです。
イグニションオン：電源接続かCANバス接続が中断されます。電源とアース用の２つのワイヤータップとCANコネクタをチェックしてください。また、CANの極が正しく配置されていることも確認してください。
LEDの発光が弱くなったり、不規則に点滅する
LEDの光の弱まりや点滅は電源かアースの接続に割り込みがあるか接続されていないことを示しています。モジュールはCANバスから微量の漏洩電流を受けるので、それによりLEDが弱く光ったり、不規則に点滅することがあるのです。t-tapについての前のパラグラフをごらんください！
LED OFF（ＬＥＤがオフの場合）
イグニション オフ：CAN バスとモジュールが低パワーの待機モードの状態。正常な状態。
イグニション オン：電源またはCAN バスの接続が離断されている。電源の2つのワイヤータップとCANの接続を確認してください。またCANの極が正しいかも確認してください。
LED が暗く点灯たは不規則に点滅
暗く点灯または点滅したLEDは離断及び電源または接地（アース）接続が無い状態を表します。
モジュールにCAN バスからの漏洩電流が考えられます。そのため LED が暗く点灯または不規則に点滅します。
この前に記載された t-tapsについての項を確認ください！
LED permanently ON
Module is connected to CAN and power, but does not receive the correct data. Recheck all connections thoroughly. A VERY COMMON source of problems is reversed polarity on the CAN wires. Double-check the POLARITY and wire-colors of all connections!
LED blinks
CAN bus is active, the module is connected correctly and ready for use.
1. Open the convertible top for better access. IMPORTANT: Turn off ignition and pull key out before continuing! Open the cover behind the driver's seat (left side of the car) as shown. Use a flat screw driver or any flat object like a coin to pry it out on the top.
モジュールはCANと電源に接続されていますが、正確なデータは受け取りません。全ての接続をよくチェックしなおしてください。問題の原因としてよくあるものは、CANワイヤーの極が逆になっていることです。全ての接続の極とワイヤーの色をダブルチェックしてください！
LEDが点滅する
CANバスがアクティブで、モジュールが正確に接続されていてすぐに使える状態。
1.アクセスを良好にするためにコンバーティブルトップを開きます。重要：これから先は、イグニションはオフにしてキーを抜いてください！図のように運転手席の後ろのカバー（車の左側）を開けます。フラットスクリュードライバーかコインのような平たいものを使い、トップの上で回して開いてください。
モジュールはCAN と電源に接続されていますが、正しいデータを受信できていません。全ての接続を再度チェックしてください。 よくある原因としてはCAN のワイヤーの極が反対に接続されているケースです。全ての接続の極とワイヤーの色を再度チェックしてください！
LED が点滅
CAN バスがアクティブな状態で、モジュールが正しく接続されています。ご利用可能な状態です。
1.アクセスを良くするためにコンバーチブルトップを開けます。重要：続ける前にイグニションをオフにしてキーを抜いてください！ 図のように運転席シート（車の左側）の後ろのカバーを開けます。マイナスドライバーまたはコインの様な平らな物でトップを開けます。
2. Lift up the padding to reveal the convertibe top controller. The bottom plug (marked with the arrow) will have to be removed in the next step.
3. For better visualization the locking mechanism is shown on the smartTOP plug (1), marked with an arrow. It needs to be pushed down while pulling hard on the plug. Once the plug is out, plug it into the matching socket on the smartTOP wiring harness (2).
4. Connect the smartTOP plug (1) to the top controller, then connect the smartTOP module to the harness. Turn the ignition on. A rapidly blinking green LED (2) will indicate proper installation. Lastly, program the module as desired, according to the operation manual.
3.良く見えるように、ロック機構がスマートトッププラグ(1)の上に矢印つきで表示されています。これはプラグ上で強く引いている間、押し下げておく必要があります。プラグが抜かれたら、スマートトップワイヤリングハーネス(2)の上にある適合するソケットにプラグを差します。
4.スマートトッププラグ(1)をトップコントローラーに接続し、それからスマートトップモジュールをハーネスに接続します。イグニションをオンにします。速く点滅する緑色のLED(2)が点けば、適切にインストールされたことがわかります。最後に、操作説明書に従ってモジュールを望みどおりにプログラムします。
3.smartTOP plug (1)に記載された矢印の様にロッキング機構が良く見えるようにする為、プラグを強く引っ張りながら下に押します。プラグが抜けたらsmartTOP wiring harness (2)のそろいのソケットへつなぎます。
4. smartTOP plug (1) をトップコントローラーにつなげ、smartTOPモジュールをハーネスにつなげます。
イグニションをオンにします。 緑のＬＥＤが早く点滅し（2）正しく設置されたことをお知らせします。
最後にオペレーションマニュアルに従って、ご希望のモジュールをプログラムします。
