2018年、渡米中、 MOCAに行った時に久しぶりに観たアンセルム・キーファー（Anselm Kiefer、1945年3月8日 - ）の作品が鮮烈なイメージで残っています。
キーファーは私が最も敬愛するドイツの現代美術作家で、
現代美術家の中でも作品における思想性を特に重視し、人間の本質や根源的なものについて、考えることを見るものに突きつけていくタイプの芸術家です。
戦後ドイツが封印した負の歴史を主題としたものを皮切りに、様々なテーマを描いた巨大な作品が多いです。

I still have an impressive image of the work by Anselm Kiefer that I saw when I went to MOCA after a long absence while I was in the States in 2018.
He is a modern art writer in Germany I respect the most.
He is the artist who emphases idea in the work among the modern artists, and persuades what he thinks and sees about the quality and base of human beings.
Starting from the work whose theme is the negative history that Germany has sealed after the war, many of his works are great works drawn based on a variety of themes.

During my stay in the US in 2018, I was so much impressed with the masterpieces by "Anselm Kiefer, the 8th of March, 1945" seeing at the MOCA.
Kiefer is my most admired German modern artist and he mostly concentrated to the ideology on his performance. He is an artist who is pursuing the way of thinking to see about the essence and fundamentalism.
After the World war, his works started with the negative history what Germany has avoided. Later, it turned out to be huge works of various theme.

I remember the works of Anselm Kiefer I appreciated when I visited MOCA in 2018, during my stay in USA, with a vivid image.
Kiefer is the most respectable artist of contemporary fine arts in Germany for me.
He is an artist of the type regarding the ideology in his works as important and presenting his thought for the essence of human and the fundamental to viewers.

In 2018, when I traveled to the USA, Anselm Kiefer's work that I saw at MOCA for the first time in a while is still vivid in my memory.
