2018年、渡米中、 MOCAに行った時に久しぶりに観たアンセルム・キーファー（Anselm Kiefer、1945年3月8日 - ）の作品が鮮烈なイメージで残っています。
キーファーは私が最も敬愛するドイツの現代美術作家で、
現代美術家の中でも作品における思想性を特に重視し、人間の本質や根源的なものについて、考えることを見るものに突きつけていくタイプの芸術家です。
戦後ドイツが封印した負の歴史を主題としたものを皮切りに、様々なテーマを描いた巨大な作品が多いです。
During my stay in the US in 2018, I was so much impressed with the masterpieces by "Anselm Kiefer, the 8th of March, 1945" seeing at the MOCA.
Kiefer is my most admired German modern artist and he mostly concentrated to the ideology on his performance. He is an artist who is pursuing the way of thinking to see about the essence and fundamentalism.
After the World war, his works started with the negative history what Germany has avoided. Later, it turned out to be huge works of various theme.
