2018年、渡米中、 MOCAに行った時に久しぶりに観たアンセルム・キーファー（Anselm Kiefer、1945年3月8日 - ）の作品が鮮烈なイメージで残っています。

キーファーは私が最も敬愛するドイツの現代美術作家で、
現代美術家の中でも作品における思想性を特に重視し、人間の本質や根源的なものについて、考えることを見るものに突きつけていくタイプの芸術家です。

戦後ドイツが封印した負の歴史を主題としたものを皮切りに、様々なテーマを描いた巨大な作品が多いです。

I remember the works of Anselm Kiefer I appreciated when I visited MOCA in 2018, during my stay in USA, with a vivid image.
Kiefer is the most respectable artist of contemporary fine arts in Germany for me.
He is an artist of the type regarding the ideology in his works as important and presenting his thought for the essence of human and the fundamental to viewers.
There are a lot of huge works painting various themes like a negative history Germany sealed after war.
