アイデアはヨーロッパにあったものを、アメリカで実用化した例がきわめて多い。その最初のものがノギスであった。 ブラウンはロードアイランド州の生まれで、若いときから工場で
機械技術を学び、１８３３年父に呼び戻されて、時計の生産を始めるようになる。

History of verniers
With the progress and the establishment of the production system of interchangeable parts, various measuring techniques improved and precise measuring instruments were manufactured.
The number of cases where the ideas from Europe were implemented in America is extremely high. The very first among them was the verniers. Brown was originally from Rhode Island, learned machine techniques in factories from young age, was told by his father to return home in 1833, and started producing watches.
As for the production of watches, the precision required was the highest among any other machinery of the time.

発表者とスクリーンが一体となったプレゼンテーションスタイルの提案

プレゼンテーションでは，発表者とスクリーンは個別のものとして配置される．その結果聴衆は発表者とスクリーンという2つの情報提示を受けねばならず注意が分散しやすい．また今日のプレゼンは映像としてアーカイブ化され，オンラインで視聴されることも多く，発表者は的確に情報を伝達することが求められる．そこで本論文では発表者がスクリーン付近に立つことで，発表者とスクリーンが一体となったプレゼンテーションスタイルを提案する．

A Proposal of the presentation style which unites the presenter and the screen

In a presentation, the presenter and the screen are arranged respectively. As a result, the audience must receive information from two different sources, the presenter and the screen, which often leads to the dispersion of audience's attention. Furthermore, presenters are required to deliver information accurately as today's presentations are now being archived as videos and are often viewed online. Therefore, I propose in this thesis the presentation style which unites the presenter and the screen by putting the presenter near the screen.

Yesterday I received an email from Paypal telling me that the order number #1057 has been reimbursed. However, I have yet to receive the item, therefore I would like to know the details of what is going to happen with the reimbursement of #1028 (Paypal ID number: 0000) because I have already paid $180. Or has the item already been shipped? I do not understand at all since I have not received any information. If you have not shipped the item I would like an reimbursement. If the item has already been shipped, please let me know. It is very disappointing because the item is very cool and I want it very much.

Until now, the prices of the target sellers were put under the column E. From now on, please put the base price of the new items of all sellers (which are shown by clicking the column F) under the E column, and then put the item on sale according to the price calculated under the column I.

河道屋は江戸時代から続くそば屋の老舗です。

芳香炉（Hokoro）と名づけられた特製の鍋は、一つ一つ厳選した京都ならではの食材を煮立て、最後にそば、またはうどんを入れます。

準備に時間がかかるので余裕をもって来店することをおすすめします。数奇屋造りの店内で、美しい庭を眺めながらの食事がとても心地よいです。芳香炉（Hokoro）は２名から注文が可能です。

Kawamichi-ya is a long-running soba restaurant established in the Edo period.

A specially made pot named "Hokoro" simmers local Kyoto ingredients chosen carefully one by one, and the noodle of your choice, soba or udon, is put in at last.

As the preparation requires some time, we recommend you to visit us with enough time. Enjoy your meal with the beautiful view of the garden in our restaurant of "Sukiya-style", a tea-ceremony style pavilion.
