The document produced by UPS is not a C88. It is a UPS document created from the information on the C88. If the VAT import reclaim is queried we will need to provide the original C88 (like the sample I sent you) which is why we do not claim on client’s behalf without it or a C79. It is essential that the EORI number from your company be stated on the import document(s) used to justify the claim. Actually I noticed that UPS included your EORI number but wrongly stated that it was your VAT number.

UPSから発行された書類は、C88ではありません。C88の情報を元に作成されたUPSの書類です。輸入VATの回収について質問を受けた場合、当社は、オリジナルのC88（お送りしたサンプルのような）を提出する必要があります。C88またはC79の無い限り、顧客に代わって還付の請求は行いません。御社のEORIナンバーが、請求を正当化するための輸入書類に表示されていることが不可欠です。気が付いたのですが、UPSは御社のEORIナンバーを、間違って御社のVATナンバーとして表示しています。

The main risk is that if we went ahead with the claim and HMRC audited your company, if C88/C79 could not be provided you would have to pay back the import VAT. We could of course make a claim with the next quarterly VAT return if you obtain the documents by then.


In our experience, Fedex and DHL seem to be fine when it comes to providing this document as well as UPS in the UK. It’s often local shipping agents from these companies outside of the EU that do not provide the correct documents.

最も大きなリスクとしては、このまま請求を進め、HMRCが御社を監査した場合、C88/C79が提供できないとなると、輸入VATを払い戻さなくてはなりません。もちろん、次回の四半期VAT還付までに書類を入手していただければ、請求することは可能です。

All of them have been sent by Royal Mail.
So far, there have been no missing items by using "Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed".
