How was Spotify’s recent launch in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong? Can you share some numbers?

Our launches in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore have exceeded our expectations in both the response to the free service as well as subscriptions. We aren’t going to discuss numbers but we can reveal that our launches in these three countries are some of the best market launches we’ve seen at Spotify. A lot of this has got to do with the free service that we offer to music fans in these countries.

The video, which was released last month, was filmed in Austin, Texas, and directed by Isaac Rentz. The band described the concept of their video for "Still Into You" as a portrayal of "what love feels like, instead of what it looks like."

CBGB closed its doors seven years ago, but Hollywood is looking to keep it alive forever--at least in film.

Today XLrator Media announced that it has acquired all U.S. distribution rights to the film CBGB, a rock ‘n roll true story of the legendary New York City club that launched dozens of top bands and is known globally as the home of American Punk Rock music. The film will be released theatrically to coincide with the CBGB Music Festival, which takes New York City by storm October 9-13, 2013 with over 500 bands performing on 175 stages across the city including Times Square and Brooklyn’s Barkley Center.

1. Any Online-market retailer you sell to will be in direct competition with you.

2. Something I learned in the last 6 months: Japanese Online retailers are tricky! They are very hard to control. Change company names, so you don't know which customer it is... They can buy from you, break your price on Amazon and tell you it's someone else! They also like to sell outside of Japan, which is a big No-No and could cost you your contract.
You need to consider very carefully who you sell to. Do background checks, see who it is you sell to.
