I tried to translate the Japanese maintenance manual that I have. I hope these instructions will be useful to you.

Usual maintenance
Soon after use, wash it well enough with a sponge with detergent, then rinse.
Wipe the water away after rinsing.

Maintenance in case it's very dirty
1. In case of discoloration
Fill the kettle with water up to about 70%, add 3 spoons of vinegar, put it over fire and heat it up.
It doesn't have to be boiled, just warming it up is enough. Move the kettle around so that the hot water can clean the inside of the kettle thoroughly.
