Elaborating more on the future strategy, Ha says:

We’re really focused on excellent customers service at this point, so we’re going to release Triipbook in the next few weeks, which teaches Triip creators how to create excellent tours. We’ve done workshops in Vietnam and Cambodia and saw that potential creators were really excited to create tours but had trouble coming up with them.

How it works

Generally, the way it works is someone like you or me submits a tour that we think is interesting to Triip. The Triip moderators will check if the tour violates any of their policies (Triip has rejected about 10 to 12 tours already due to such violations). Then the potential customers, aka tourists, will pay Triip for the tour. This money will be held by Triip until after the tour is finished and the customer is satisfied. After this, Triip distributes 90 percent of the earnings to the tour guide and keeps 10 percent.

Triipの仕組み

Triipの仕組はこうだ。誰かが面白いと思うツアーの企画をTriipに提出する。TriipのモデレーターがそのツアーがTriipのポリシーに違反しないかどうかをチェックする（Triipはすでに10から12のツアーをポリシー違反で退けている）。見込み客（つまり旅行者）がツアー料金をTriipに支払う。支払われた料金は、ツアーが終わり旅行者が納得するまでTriipが保管する。その後Triipが売上の90％をツアー支払い10％を受け取る。

Future plans

At the end of May, Triip’s founders plan to put Triip up on Indiegogo for crowdfunding and marketing, and in June they’ll be coming out of beta – plus there’s the upcoming iPhone app called WikiTriip. The app, which takes data from Wiki Vonyage, will allow users to search for information about places they are visiting and also will be data crawled by Triip to see what users are interested in visiting when traveling. This data will be used to suggest and design tours for travelers.

Currently, Triip operates in six countries including Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Founder Greg Gopman also tells us that they would normally pick two winners from cities that have large pools of talent, such as Toronto, London, New York, and Tel Aviv. Qihoo, Unsurprisingly,Launches A Separate Medical & Health Search Service

Qihoo 360 rolls out a new vertical search service, named Liang Yi (Good doctors in Chinese), for medical and health information. It has indexed 150 million webpages from 114 legitimate healthcare websites and 1716 official websites of hospitals’, according to Qi Xiangdong, president of Qihoo.

Qihoo 360が医療・健康情報に関する新たなバーチカル検索サービスLiang Yi（中国語で名医）の提供を開始した。
QihooのプレジデントQi Xiangdong氏によるとLiang Yiは正規ののヘルスケア関連のウェブサイト114および病院の公式サイト1716から1億5000万ページをインデックス化しているという。

Its default page, like the start-up page Qihoo runs, features keywords of diseases and healthcare websites. Clicking on a keyword, you’d be led to a sub-page where you can see information about the disease, hospitals and doctors that specialize in it — there are buttons that would direct you to the websites where you can make online reservations, and lastly search results.

Users can see the rating of each search result — from Qihoo’s website rating service, to the right. Qihoo said that they would stop indexing a website if the rating of it became too low.

Qihoo has been criticizing Baidu, its alleged competitor, for letting go of medical scam ads mixed in organic search results and claimed to offer medical information provided by China’s State Food and Drug Administration by partnering with Jike.com. Qihoo made it clear that they’d not feature medical & health ads on its so.com in order to grab the traffic from that on Baidu which reportedly accounts for 30% of Baidu’s advertising revenue. To respond, Baidu later announced to partner with Chinese authorities to offer verified legitimate medical information in search results.

At the press conference jointly held by Qihoo and Jike.com, Qihoo Qi Xiangdong said that So.com, launched as recently as last August, was aimed at 20% of China’s search market share this year and 40% in 2015.

Rakuten Asia Exec: Rakuten Commits to Continue Its Business in Indonesia

A month ago, we covered the story about MNC Group’s plan to sell its stake on joint venture with Japan e-commerce giant, Rakuten. At that time, people began wondering whether Rakuten, through eits subsidiary Rakuten Belanja Online (RBO), will continue doing business in Indonesia. Today we get confirmation from Rakuten exec that the company commits to continue its business in Indonesia.

1ヶ月前にDailySocialは、MNC Groupが日本のeコマース大手楽天とのジョイントベンチャーの株式を売却する計画について報じ、楽天が同社子会社Rakuten Belanja Online (RBO)経由でのインドネシアでの事業を継続するかどうかに関心が集まった。今日、DailySocialは、Rakuten Asia経営幹部より同社がインドネシアでの事業を継続するとの確認を得た。

According to statement by Toru Shimada, Senior Executive Officer, Head of Asia Headquarter, Rakuten Inc, marketplace business in the region will be accelerated because of the opening of regional headquarter in Singapore last year. Although not explicitly saying about its joint venture’s ownership, we believe that RBO will be fully controlled by its regional office as a foreign-owned company.

Thursday's part leak only shows one corner component of the motherboard, so it does not offer an indication as to what processor or other parts might be included.


The pictured component was obtained by Japanese retailer Moumantai, which was also the source of previous leaks of alleged next-gen iPhone components. One part pictured last month showed an alleged "iPhone 5S" camera lens, along with an unidentified mystery part.

Another component shown by the same retailer claimed to feature the home button of an iPhone 5S, while a third was alleged to be the vibration motor intended for an unreleased Apple handset.

Domain Name System (DNS) Servers

All host names and addresses stored in an external DNS server are supposed to be exposed to public. Hence, the external DNS server should not hold information about the internal network. The external DNS server may be hosted at the Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Remember “China’s Facebook”? It’s Fighting Back Against WeChat With a New Messaging App

Once hailed as “China’s Facebook”, Renren (NYSE:RENN) has had a rough few years. First overtaken by microblogging (with new rivals Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo) and then by group messaging (like WeChat), Renren hasn’t been able to grow its user-base that much. But it is diversifying. The latest spin-off for Renren is a messaging app to challenge the mighty WeChat, and it’s called TongXueShuo – literally meaning “classmates say”.

But it’s not restricted to campus buddies – and it’s not just confined to messaging. Renren’s TongXueShuo seems to throw in a lot of things in the hope that the mix will attract new users. There are elements of Path, Google+, regular social messaging apps, plus the find-and-flirt capabilities of apps like Momo.

The mobile-only TongXueShuo – with apps for iPhone and Android – came out quietly last month. Perhaps too quietly, as there has been no buzz surrounding it yet.

Today's latest rumor suggests that Apple could be breaking with their traditional September-only release time frame for new iPhones. The rumor is blatantly suggesting that the iPhone 5S would debut in August and a new economical entry in September. That could be a bit of a stretch – especially on the rumored economical iPhone model.

Yet for now, the rumor of the day out of Apple's supply chain is that Apple has moved up their part orders earlier than normal which could point to an earlier release of the iPhone 5S.

Another concern is the viability of releasing a follow-up iPad mini at a price point comparable,or equal to,the current generation.Mass production would undoubtedly affect parts costs for Apple,which has traditionally tagged refreshed products at the same cost as outgoing models.

Shim's statements echo those of noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo,who in April said setbacks pertaining to adequate display production could see a later than expected release for the so-called "iPad mini 2."

Previous estimates also pointed to a quarter three release for the as yet unannounced tablet,which would be consistent with Apple's usual yearly refresh cycle.
