割れ窓理論（Broken Windows Theory）は、
軽微な犯罪も徹底的に取り締まることで凶悪犯罪を含めた犯罪を抑止できるとする環境犯罪学上の理論。
アメリカの犯罪学者ジョージ・ケリングが考案した。「建物の窓が壊れているのを放置すると、誰も注意を払っていないという象徴になり、やがて他の窓もまもなく全て壊される」との考え方からこの名がある。ブロークン・ウィンドウ理論、破れ窓理論、壊れ窓理論ともいう。

Waremado-RIron, [Broken Windows Theory] is a theory that cracking down thoroughly on even a slight crime will be able to prevent crimes including serious crimes.
George L. Kelling, a criminologist in the U.S. created the theory. This name of the theory was given through the concept that a symbol of unconcern originated from neglecting a broken window will make all windows be broken. It is also called "Yaburemado-Riron", "Kowaremado-Riron".

この事実を知ったときは何も手につかず、何も考えることができなかった。
あまり思い出せないが、きっと仕事をすることであまり考えないようにしていたかもしれない。
この事は今から15年も前のことで、いつ受け入れることが出来たのか覚えてないが、時間が経つにつれて怒りも悲しみも薄れていった。それと共に彼の死はどういった意味があったかを考えていき自分の中で受け入れることが出来たのだと思う。

When I knew this fact, I could not do and think of anything.
Though I cannot recall it well, I might have tried not to think of it with working.
Though I cannot recall when I could accept it because this incident happened 15 years ago, my anger and sadness was getting disappear as time went by. In addition, I think I could accept in my mind the fact with thinking about meanings of his death.

対向車線からきたトラックが居眠り運転により、N君の車に追突してきたそうです。
その知らせを受けた時は全く信じられず、冗談だと思った程です。火葬の時には涙が止まらず、様々なことが思い出されました。お葬式には追突してきたトラックの会社の人も参列しました。さすがに事故を起こした人は来ませんでしたが、僕らはお葬式の最中でさえ、殴りかかろうかというほど怒りました。たった20年しか生きることが出来ず、人生これからというときに殺されてしまう悲しみは今でも忘れません。

I heard that a truck driven by a sleeping driver ran into N's car from the opposite lane.
When I heard the news, It was so unbelievable that I thought it was kidding. I could not stop my tear running at the cremation and many things were drifted in my mind. Staffs of the company which employs the driver attended the funeral. Though the man who drove did not appear as I thought, I got so angry that I almost hit them even during the funeral. I still remember the sadness that he was killed at most hopeful era of his life and he could not live more than only 20 years.

Conditions that things are scattered on the floor

Conditions that needless things like tools, documents, equipment, machines that we don't use for months or years, and even necessary tools and parts are neglected on the floor or shelves.

Conditions that things are scattered near walls

Needless things are stuck near walls or around pillars.
Condition that there are useless tools and things behind machines, there are not clear lines on passages, and though there are clear lines, things are not put inside proper areas.

Condition that passages are specified and cleaning is completed
