昨年システム稼動パーティーの際にお会いしましたが覚えていますか？

私は3月で現在の案件からのリリースが決まっています。
ジョンさんは若手の海外案件の経験を強く推奨されていると噂に聞き、メールさせて頂きました。少し長い文章になりますが、読んでいただければと思います。

私は次のプロジェクトでは、ぜひ海外案件に参画したいと思っています。
理由は3つあります。

1つ目の理由としては、単純に海外の社員と仕事がしてみたいからです。一昨年新入社員研修でシンガポールに行った際、他の国々のメンバとコミュニケーションをしてみて、仕事に対してアグレッシブで、自分を高めようとしているメンバに囲まれすごく刺激を受けました。そんな同僚と一緒に仕事をすることで、自分自身が一皮むけ、成長できるのではと思っています。

2つ目の理由は、今までの日本での経験・知識がどれだけ海外で通用するか試してみたいということです。自分がグローバルで働ける人材かどうか、自分自身で体験してみたいのです。

I wonder if you remember me. We have met each other last year at the party for the start of the system.

I am going to be released from the project now I participate in March.
I am writing you this e-mail as I have heard that you(=Mr. John) are advocating strongly younger worker's experiences on projects abroad.
I hope you will read this mail through though it is a little long.

I am eager to participate a project abroad for my next work.
The reasons are following three;

First, I simply want to get the chance to work with the workers abroad together. As I visited Singapore for the training for new employees and communicated with the members from other countries two years ago, I was so inspired by their aggressiveness to their work and intentions for self-development. I hope that I can grow myself through the working experience with such co-workers.

Second, I want to test how far my knowledge and experiences I have ever got in Japan are valid on working abroad. Through my own experience I want to know if I can be a global worker.

I'm going to part with the ongoing project as of March. The reason I'm writing to you is that I heard that you encourage young people to get involved with a project overseas. This is going to be a longish letter but I'd appreciate it if you read it through.

I'm very eager to participate in a project overseas for my next project.
There are three reasons for that.

First, I simply want to work with people overseas. I went to Singapore for training for new employees two years ago and I was very inspired by workers there from various countries through communicating with them. They all have positive attitude to their jobs and try hard to enhance their skills. I thought that I can reach the next level and expand my horizon by working with them.

Second, I'd like to know whether my experiences and skills I've gained in Japan can live up to standards overseas.

英語を使う環境に自分自身を置いて、英語のスキルを伸ばしたいと思っていることが、3つ目の理由です。私は新入社員研修の際、英語はそれほど話せませんでしたが、話そうとする努力と恥を捨てたコミュニケーションを行い、ファカルティーに日本人の中でベストという評価を受けました。

環境が人を変えるといいますが、私はその時、その言葉は本当だと強く実感しました。新入社員研修は2週間という短い期間ですが、海外プロジェクトの長い期間を活かし、今後うちの会社に貢献できるような人材に成長したいと考えています。

The third reason is that I'd like to put myself in an English speaking environment and improve my English. I couldn't speak English very well when I was in the training for new employees, but the faculty evaluated me highly that I have a good communication skill. They also said that I tried very hard to communicate with the coworkers without being afraid of mistakes and rated me as the best among Japanese workers.

It's said that a person can change and grow in a different environment. That's what I realized myself when I was in a situation like that in the new employees' training. The training was just two week long but if I have a chance to get involved with a long project overseas, I'm certain that I'll be able to hone my skills and contribute to our company even more.

The third reason is that I want to improve my English skills through putting myself in the English spoken environment. Though I could speak English not so well at the time of the training for new employees, I made a effort to speak English and communicated forgetting my shyness, and the faculty evaluated me as the best among the Japanese.

At that time I deeply realized the saying "the environment changes a person" is true. The training for new employees was only two weeks but the project abroad lasts much longer, in the meantime I want to grow myself enough to contribute for our company through the experience abroad.

And the third reason is to develope a faculties of English by being in a circumstance which I have to use English.
On the training in Singapore I couldn't speak English very well, but I tried to speak in English and avoided losing my nerve to comunicate, and so facultys gave me an evalution being best of new employees japanese.

"Man is conditioned by enviroment", then I really felt that this word is true.
With a long terms for projects abroad, as against the training for new employees is only 2 weeks, I will improve abilities to make a contribution to our company in future.
