・中央に信仰の中心になる阿弥陀如来を配置し、両脇に阿弥陀如来を手助けする観世音菩薩と勢至菩薩の三体を祀った形を阿弥陀三尊といいます。
阿弥陀如来は死者を極楽浄土へと導く仏。観世音菩薩は仏様の「慈悲」表し、勢至菩薩は仏様の「知恵」を表しています。
・にいだ二組阿弥陀三尊摩崖仏
二組が並んで岩壁に彫られているのは日本では唯一であり、大変貴重な文化財である。
・石を板状に加工し、縁取りを付けた内側に阿弥陀三尊を浮き彫りに彫刻するのは、福島県の一部の地域に見られる石仏の特有です。

Amiza Nyorai a Buddha leading the dead to paradise. Kanzeon Bosatsu represents "mercy" of Buddha, and Seshi Bosatsu represents "wisdom" of Boddha.

The two sets carved in line on a rock wall are only one in Japan and very important cultural property.
・To sculpt empossing three Amidas with bordered inward by processing the stone into a plate shape is unique to the stone Buddha found in a part of Fukushima region.
