日本政府において、銀行法を含む金融制度に関する主管官庁は金融庁です。私は、金融庁の幹部である山田さんとは大学時代からの古い友人で、これまでも様々な意見交換をしてきました。先日、私が彼と会食した時に、銀行法の改正が話題になり、改正の目的等について話を聞きました。

In Japanese Government, the principal authority regarding financial systems including Banking Act is Financial Services Agency.
Mr. Yamada who is an executive in the Agency is one of my old friends from university, and we have exchanged our opinions on various topics time to time.
I had a chance to have dinner with him the other day, and when we happened to talk about the amendment of Banking Act, he told me about its purposes and so on.
