日本建築界の中心地である東京から約800ｋｍも離れ、周辺を太平洋と山に囲まれた四国地方の高知県で”キリコ設計事務所”を設立したのは約40年前のこと。
現在は上森雅明と上森こくとう の2人で設計事務所を運営している。
彼らの作品の特徴として、地域の自然素材を良く使用している事が挙げられる。
作品の多くは日本にあり、保育園から診療所、集合住宅、別荘、商店建築まだ多岐にわたっている。
"Kiriko Architect Office" was established about 40 years ago in Kochi prefecture where peripheral area was surrounded by mountains and the Pacific Ocean and it's away from Tokyo which is a central city for Japanese architectural world.
Today, the design office is managed by 2, Masaaki Uemori and Kokuto Uemori.
As a characteristic of their work, using local natural materials can be mentioned.
Many of their work are located in Japan, and it covers wide variety of buildings from nursery schools to clinics, multiple dwelling houses, vacation houses, and shop buildings.
