The iron statues made in Japan are said to be based on the scenes described in the poetry of the Chinese poet Du Fu of eighth century.
They include some that were made in simplified forms though, this item is finished with considerably real touches to the details. The muscle of the cow in particular seems to begin to move at any moment and is full of dynamism overwhelmingly.
There are peel-offs and cracks partially because it is an antique one, so please confirm with the photograph.
As this item does not have a casing, it is offered with a bargain price.
Chinese products claiming as Japanese original are rampant though, this is truly made Japan.
