ペット産業国際見本市「Interpets(インターペット)」は、イベント名称に~人とペットの豊かな暮らしフェア~とうたっている通り、いわゆるペットグッズというよりは、ライフスタイルグッズを集めた提案型の展示会。
最先端のペットフードや凝ったデザインのファッションアイテムにも目を奪われるが、それ以上に今回目を引いたのは、特別ペット仕様の車だ。

初日からブースに立ち、来訪者の声を聞くルノー・ジャポンの大極社長は、「ペットの好きな方が集まる場所で、一緒に話をしてどんなニーズがあるのか掘り起こしていくことが一番大事だと思っています」と話す。新しいビジネス分野の開拓において、トップはニーズを肌で感じ、すぐに決断をして戦略を立てていくことが必要で、イベントにはよく足を運んでいるそうだ。
