Normaly, an overseas shipping should be tax-free. However the 8% which is exempted will be regarded as a part of the merchandise price, so only the merchandises will be charged with 8% consumption tax.
As you pointed out, the shipping cost may vary depending on the weight. As the package weighed 2,900 g, the shipping fee would be JPY 5,400 via Japan Post's EMS.
Therefore, we shall not charge you for anything more than the total amount of your order this time.
* However, please be aware that import tax may be charged depending on the country or the state. In such event, the tariff needs to be covered at your end.

So we will not charge any more extra fees from our company than grand total cost.
However some tariff might be charged in some countries and states.
In that case, I am sorry to ask our clients to pay that.
