高額な関税を請求されたということで、

関税についてはフランスの税関が決めることであり
こちらではどうすることもできません。
同じ商品でも関税がかかるときとかからないときがあるようです。
特にヨーロッパでは通常の関税の他にVATが加わり、
非常に複雑で高額です。
今回請求された関税50ポンドについては
私たちが代わりに負担させていただきます。

We are very sorry to hear that you was charged for a high amount as duties.
Regarding to duties, it is determined by the French customs and we can not do anything in that matter.
It seems that some times, even for the same product, duties are charged or not.
In Europe, as besides the custom duties, VAT is also charged, making it complex and expensive.
For this time, we will pay for the 50 pounds of duties.

It is unfortunate that there is nothing I can do about the tariff since it is under the control of French Customs.
It seems the tariffs for the same goods are applied randomly.
In case of Europe, especially, VAT is applied over the normal tariff which causes a lot complication and high expense for importing.
