It was a was tour by boat of the capacity of 130 people, but because of the inspection, suddenly we went the tour in a small boat of the capacity of 45 people (Since its speed was slower than the normal boat, we had to come 15 minutes earlier.) I was worried because I had thought a larger boat would shake less. But I did not become seasick because I took a medicine for motion sickness.
There were nearly 40 people, so it was really crowded in the boat. I had difficulty even when moving for taking pictures. Usually it will be less crowded.

The person who gave an explanation to us said that he lived and worked in Gunkanjima Island. He also talked about his life there, which was interesting.

Although it should be a tour that use a ship with a standard capacity of 130 people, it became a small patrol ship that can fit around 45 people tightly. (It’s speed is slower than usual,so we assembled for 15 minutes before it arrived) I thought that it should be less shaking on a bigger ship so it made me worried, but because I take an anti motion sickness pill before coming, I could participate without getting motion sickness.
With around 40 people crowded in it, the ship looked narrow and tight. Even moving and taking a photograph is a difficult thing to do, but normally, it should be more comfortable.

The person who gave us an explanation is actually a person who was living and working at Hajima, so it was interesting to hear stories from that time from him.

I participated alone, but the staff told me that he would press a shutter button every time I moved. So I asked him sevral times and I could be in photos. Thank you very much. Although I was the only female participant, some men took photos with their big SLR. Most of the participants were friends, adult families and couples.

Since I participated in the afternoon tour, when I saw the panoramic view of the Gunkanjima Island on the way back, it was against the sun. And its silhouette stood out. Many of the photos I took when I came closer to the island were bright.

I was took part alone, but several times I called staff to " press a button" and I could make a picture. Thank you very much. I was the only woman who was alone, men ( some individuals) brought single-lens reflex camera and made many photos. Many of them were friends, colleagues, adult families, couples...

I participated in the afternoon, on my way back , when I saw Gunkanjima full view, it was backlight and Seattle looked prominent. When I got closer, among all photos, which I shooted on the islands, there were many lighted photos"
