Made by a craftsman at the end of Edo period. The top was made by genuine silver. The third generation seemed to make this piece judging by the name writing on the box of @@ said @@.

A work by a craftsman in the later Edo era [Sandai,Shimoma shobei] .the lid is made of pure silver. A note of authentication on the box by [senke okamashi 'onishi Seiuemon ]shows [Tempo~by Shobei ] and it is presumed to be made by Shobei the Third. This is verified to be a genuine.

An artist in the late Edo period[the third generation, Shoubei Shimotuma]. According to the warranty by Seiuemon Oonishi, the professional kettle maker, the kettle is real thing which was made by Shoubei in the era of Tenpo.
