Like Rico who loves making things, girls in Bangladesh make these pens with their eyes alight. The thought of it makes me happy.
But I guess the reality is more cruel and harsh. There must be the days when children don't feel like it and some children don't want to make them at all. I don't think even Rico would enjoy making them every single day.
Just like Rico loves crafting, I imagine these children making this pencil with their eyes twinkling and that makes me very happy.
But the reality is probably harsh and strict, they'd have days where they don't want to make anything, or simply not wanting to make them at all.
I don't even think Rico could enjoy making them everyday.
Each pen costs 500yen and the sales will be used to operate EKMATTRA which supports street children in Bangladesh. If they make one pen, 75yen will be saved for their future.
The pens are made by unskilled children's hand and thus, they don't look perfect like the ones made by machines. However, I adore the imperfection. Through this pen, I would like Rico to know about children in other countries.
One pen costs 500 yen, 75 yen for one pen would be saved for their future, the selling will be practically used for running Ecmattora, which is supporting them.
The pens made by little hands are different from made by machine so, some look not good but, I feel sweet for them because of them not good looking. And I want Riko to learn about children living in different countries through this pen.
Organization called Ekmattra that supports them uses pencil each one is ¥500, and ¥75 goes to the fund for their future.
They make this pencil with their tinny hands are not perfect like machine made, but it was just adorable to me.
Through this story of pencil I want Rico to know about children from other countries.
