ユーグレナ社でバングラデシュの子供達にユーグレナクッキーを配っているのですが、その支援を通した縁でバングラデシュのストリートチルドレンが作ったキラキラペン(ULKA)を購入しました。
物作りが大好きなリコの様に、バングラデシュの女の子達も目を輝かせてこのペンを作っているのを想像するとHappyな気持ちになります。
でも、きっと現実はもっと残酷で厳しいものだと思う。作りたくない日も、作りたくない子だっているでしょう。リコだって毎日これを作り続けることを楽しめるとはとても思えません。
The company "euglena" hands out euglena cookies to the children in Bangladesh. Through the support of the activity, I purchased a glittering pen (ULKA) made by street children in Bangladesh.
Like Rico who loves making things, girls in Bangladesh make these pens with their eyes alight. The thought of it makes me happy.
But I guess the reality is more cruel and harsh. There must be the days when children don't feel like it and some children don't want to make them at all. I don't think even Rico would enjoy making them every single day.
でも、働かなきゃいけない。だからこそ、その努力が報われて欲しいと願います。
売上は彼らを支援しているエクマットラの運営に活用され1本500円。１本作ると75円が彼らの将来のための貯金になるそうです。
幼い手で作られたペンは、機械で作られたものと違っていびつなところもあります。だけどそのいびつさが、私には愛おしく思えます。そして、このペンを通してリコにも、違う国の子供たちの事を知って欲しいなと思います。
But they must work. That is why I hope their efforts will pay off.
Each pen costs 500yen and the sales will be used to operate EKMATTRA which supports street children in Bangladesh. If they make one pen, 75yen will be saved for their future.
The pens are made by unskilled children's hand and thus, they don't look perfect like the ones made by machines. However, I adore the imperfection. Through this pen, I would like Rico to know about children in other countries.
