Japan Exhibition Association (Tadao Ishizumi Chairman) held a New Year Party at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo on 8th January. About 710 people as the largest number ever attended.

The chairman, Tadao Ishizumi, who gave an opening remark on the stage set a target by 2020 and announced three strategies to accomplish the target. To be specific, 1) hold 1,000 exhibitions, which is three times more, 2) make a gross area of exhibitions being held in Japan three times larger by expanding existing and building new facilities, 3) increase a membership of Japan Exhibition Association as three times, which will be 1,000 companies/organisations.

'If the scale of exhibition industry grows as three times more than today, it will make an immeasurable impact on Japanese economy' he stated as the new year resolution.
