「水の街 棹さし来れば 夕雲や 鳰の浮巣のささ啼きのこえ」と柳川の詩人、北原白秋も詠っています。

水面に漂う情緒が、詩人北原白秋を育てたのかも知れません。
四季折々の顔を見る
また、柳川の川下りには、四季折々の顔があります。
春の桜に秋の紅葉、冬は船の上にこたつとみかんをのせて川を下るんだとか。
どの季節行っても良いなら、全部の季節に行きたくなるのもまた柳川の川下りの魅力です。






歴史のおもむきに浸る。


川下りの終点にあるのはかつての柳川藩主立花邸。
通称「お花」。

Translation

明治3年(1870)に創業された鶴みそ。
明治の後期から大正にかけて建てられた赤煉瓦の倉庫がそのままに残っています。
通称「竝倉(なみくら)」と呼ばれ、柳川を代表する景観の一つとして観光客らに親しまれてきました。

現役の味噌蔵として使われている一方で、平成12年に近代化遺産として国の登録文化財に指定されました。

川下りの後半にまっているのは緑のトンネル。

両側になり茂る緑の木々の中をゆったり進む船。
心地よい風を感じながら、癒し満点の風景に思わず心奪われます。

Translation

Tsurumiso was established in the 3rd year of the Meiji era (1970).

A warehouse made of red bricks, that was built from the latter period of the Meiji era to the Taisho era, is remaining without changes.

Being called under the nickname of "Namikura", it became popularised by tourists as one of the scenaries that represents Yanagawa.

On the one hand it is currently used as a miso warehouse, it was designated as a registered cultural asset of the country being a legacy modernized in the 12nd year of the Heissei era.

A green tunnel that scatters in the second half downstream.

The boats easily advance inside every thick green tree in both sides of the river.
While it can be felt a comfortable breeze, you unintentionally distract your mind in healing perfect scenary.
