The Pyrenees is with a pH of 6.0. This is higher than the critical pH (pH of 5.5) which decalcifies enamel. The Pyrenees is not likely cause tooth decalcification.

ピレーネは380～420nmの光に対して最もよく反応します。この波長域の光をいかに有効利用するかがポイントとなります。使用される光照射器の光波長、光強度をよく確認して下さい。また、光照射器のライトガイドを歯面から1mm前後に近づけて光照射して下さい。光照射距が長くなる程光強度が低下し漂白効果が低下します。

-What are the keys to achieve a higher whitening effect?
The Pyrenees reacts most to the light with the wavelength of 380 to 420nm. How you make effective use of the light within this wavelength band is the key. Confirm closely the light wavelength and the light intensity of the light irradiator to use. Put a light guide of the light irradiator as close as about 1mm to the tooth surface during light irradiation. The longer the light irradiation distance is, the lower the light intensity gets. As a result, the whitening effect is reduced.

・漂白の目安としてシェードがどの程度変化すれば良いですか。
同系列のシェードの明度が１つ以上あがれば肉眼で充分漂白効果が確認できます。
術前と術後の口腔内写真を撮影することをお勧め致します。

・漂白効果が帯状に現れることがあるのですがどうしたらいいでしょうか。
歯質の石灰化の状態が一様ではないため、漂白効果が帯状に現れることがあります。
しかし処置後徐々に周囲の色になじみ、目立たなくなります。

-How far should the level of shade change as a guide of whitening?
When the brightness level of the shade in the same group is elevated 1 or more, the whitening effect is definitely visible to the naked eye. It is recommended to take some intraoral photographs before/after a treatment.

- What should be done when strip-shaped whitening effect appears?
Strip-shaped whitening effect might appear as calcification of tooth substance is uneven.
However, the strip-shaped whitening effect gradually blends into the color around it after a treatment and eventually becomes unnoticeable.
It is recommended to provide a patient with a counseling after a treatment to give sufficient explanation.

-Mechanism of Product A
The conventional teeth whitening uses bleach which mainly contains high-concentrated hydrogen peroxide water. Instead, "Pyrenees" makes a whitening effect when specific wavelength is irradiated to mixed liquid of low-concentrated hydrogen peroxide water and titanium dioxide, and then active oxygen generated by the reaction between hydrogen peroxide water and photocatalyst decomposes the polluted pigment composition.

Its concentration is same as that of the hydrogen peroxide water used for disinfection, and we believe that there is no problem even if the Product A is attached to gum. Also titanium dioxide, which has photocatalytic function, is safe and secure that is used for food additives and tooth paste.
Product A with these features does not cause any pain nor sensory sensitivity during/after a whitening treatment and it drastically reduces a strain for patients.
