西洋の中世をモチーフにしたファンタジーの世界が舞台で、主人公が軍隊を率いて敵を倒すという共通の設定があります。
また他の共通の設定では、お助けキャラクターとして上級騎士や、人ではない種族が登場します。
その他の特徴はそれぞれ武器に強みと弱みがあります。
例えば、剣は斧に強いけれど槍には弱いといった設定があります。

Fire Emblem is japanese tactical role-playing game that launch various series.
Have motif fantasy world in western middle age as a scene, Common setting is main character lead soldier to defeat enemy.
another common setting is helper character will be high class knight and another race that is not human.
Another feature is each weapon have strength and weakness.
For Example, Sword will be advantage to axe but spear.

一度倒された味方キャラクターは死亡となり、二度と使えないということになり、いかに全員生きている状態で戦闘を終わらせるかという緊張感を持ちながらプレイできるのが魅力です。
シリーズによっては、自分の好きなキャラクター同士をカップリングにできることも魅力です。

The defeated friend character becomes dead and can never be usable, therefore, the best thing about it is you can play the game with feeling of tension of how well to end battles with as many of members kept alive as possible.
Depending on the series, it adds fan further that you can couple your favorite characters.

Once allied character die, they cannot be used again, however the fascination is playing while nervous that can end the war by everyone survive or not.
Another fascinate thing is depending on the series can coupling with character that you like.
