I tried test1 and it works see the attachments. If you got the no direction message, that is may be the maps could not route your location with destination. Also the map App does not need to ask for GPS permission, as it is a native iOS App.
For test2 now it works and the app now works for multibyte letters, check my last commit.
Yes I changed the way we present the maps, I now using the native iOS app to get the full functionality of the maps like GoHome.
