名乗らない。いや名乗ってはならないとする神が歴史上には存在する。旧約聖書の唯一神ヤハウェである。ユダヤのラビや敬虔なユダヤ教徒は直接ヤハウェの名を口にする事はない。それは畏れ多い事であり、かわりにアドナイ(主)と呼称するのが一般的なのだ。この神は自らも自身の名を呼称しない。旧約聖書の出エジプト記第3章第14節ではモーセに対して、「私は在るものである」と名乗っている。存在の重みに呼称はいらないと言う事、名前とは授けられるものであり、授ける側が神聖な権威者という意味だろうか。

On the history, there is a God that should not name himself. It is Yahweh in the Old Testament. Jewish rabbis and devout followers do not directly say Yahweh's name. It is considered as awe-inspiring, and Yahweh is instead called Adonai. This God does not call himself either. In Old Testament, Exodus 3:1,6, he says "I am something that exist" to Moses. It perhaps means that you do not need to name for the dignity of existence, and that the ones who provide names are holy authorities, since "name" is something that is given.
