建物に求められたのは自身が経営する建設会社と将来的に賃貸として貸し出し可能な世帯向けの住宅部分だった。
そこで素材や工法等は特別な物を用いずに、可能な限り地場産材で地元の職人達がその技能を最大限発揮できる様な家づくりを心掛けた。
住居部では、周囲の住宅の屋根越しに見える景色を最大限取り込む事が可能な様にパノラマ状の窓を配置した。
この市松状に配した窓の中へバランス良く耐震壁を設ける事で、高い開放性と耐震性を実現している。
刻々と変化する環境にも適応可な建物を作る事ができると考えている
