国定史跡 鶴ヶ城
1394年東黒川館として造られたのが始まりとされています。
1593年には7層の天守閣が完成し城の名前を鶴ヶ城と命名。
1611年の震度6以上の地震により天守閣が傾き、
1639年天守閣を5層に直して現在の姿になりました。
National historic landmark: Tsuragajo
1394 Built as Higashi Kurogawa Inn begins
1593 The 7 level Tenshu tower is completed and the castle is named Tsuragajo.
1611 The tenshu tower inclines due to an earthquake with intensity greater than 6
1639 The tenshu tower is rebuilt to have 5 layers and becomes as it looks like at the preset.
1868年から日本全土で新政府軍に抵抗する各統治組織との間で内戦がおきました。
会津藩も新政府軍と抵抗するため鶴ヶ城に立てこもりましたが、
激しい攻撃を受けこれ以上の犠牲は出せないと1ヶ月後に降参しました。
この間鶴ヶ城は攻撃から耐えた事で難攻不落の名城と称えられました。
その後1874年政府の命令により取り壊され、現在の鶴ヶ城は1965年に再建されました。
2011年には黒色の屋根から当時を忠実に再現した赤色の瓦で屋根が復元されました。
鶴ヶ城は日本で唯一の赤瓦を使用したお城です。
Since 1868 there was a civil war with each ruling organization that opposed the new government troops across Japan.
The Aizu domain was barricaded in Tsurugajo castle in order to resist the new government.
It endured vicious attacks and surrendered after 1 month without giving up anyone.
Tsurugajo castle was praised as an impregnable castle by enduring the attacks during this period.
Afterwards in 1874 it was torn down by order of the government but rebuilt in 1965 to how it stands today.
In 2011 the red tiles of the roof was restored from black to remain faithful to the roof of the time.
Tsurugajo castle is the only castle in Japan that has used red tiles.
鶴ヶ城武者走り
敵を迎え撃つため城内の兵がいっせいに石垣上に
駆け上がることができるように、また兵の「登り」と「降り」
を区別するため左右に階段があるともいわれております。
鉄門
鶴ヶ城の正門。
この門の壁面は鉄で覆われていることからこの名が付いた。
本丸
現在の芝生の広場には、
行政としての機能や生活の場所などがあり、
多くの建物があった。
石垣
石野面積(のずらずみ)といわれる工法で積まれています。
この工法は自然の石をあまり加工せず積み上げるやりかたで、
傾斜が緩やかで、裾野が広いのが特徴です
Tsuragajo warrior run
In order for the troops inside the castle are able to climb the stone wall all at once to face the enemy, it is said that there are stairs at the left and right so that the troops are divided between "climbing" and "descending".
Tetsumon
The main gate of Tsurugajo.
It got its name from its walls covered with iron.
Honmaru
In the present lawn of the courtyard there was a place of activity that functions as a government with many buildings.
Stone wall
It has been stacked by a method of construction called Nozurazumi (stone field surface).
This method is a way to pile up the natural rocks without doing much additional processing.
Its characteristic is the wide base with a slanted slope.
