マニュアルモードでの絞りのリングの動きが固い理由は、寒暖の差などの環境の変化により劣化した油が固まって抵抗が強くなったのだと思います。元々AFモードでしか使われていなかった、というのも原因の一つかもしれません。
リグロインかベンジンを絞りのリングの隙間などに少しずつ流し込んで動かしていくと改善される可能性があります。これは日本のカメラ修理店で実施されている方法です。暖かい部屋で作業されることをお勧めします。

I think that the reason why the diaphragm ring doesn't work well in the manual mode is that the deteriorated oil due to the environment change such as the difference between cold and warm was caked so that the resistance was strengthened. One of the causes might be that it originally has been used only in AF mode.
If you pour ligroin or benzine into the interspace of the diaphragm ring etc little by little, it would be improved. This method is taken by Japanese camera repair shop. I recommend that you should operate in warm room.
