マニュアルモードでの絞りのリングの動きが固い理由は、寒暖の差などの環境の変化により劣化した油が固まって抵抗が強くなったのだと思います。元々AFモードでしか使われていなかった、というのも原因の一つかもしれません。
リグロインかベンジンを絞りのリングの隙間などに少しずつ流し込んで動かしていくと改善される可能性があります。これは日本のカメラ修理店で実施されている方法です。暖かい部屋で作業されることをお勧めします。

This camera was made more than 40 years ago.
The reason that the movement of the diaphragm ring is not smooth should be due to the friction made by the calcification of the deteriorated oil triggered by the change of the circumstances such as the difference between coldness and warmth. One other possibility might be the fact that it has been only used in AF mode.
If you put ligroin or benzin into the gap of the diaphragm ring and try to move, the situation might be improved. This method is conducted in the camera repair shops in Japan, I recommend you to this in a warm room.
