A: You can compost the used coffee grinds and rinse your Canadiano with warm water. You don’t really need to use dish-soap to clean your Canadiano, a simple rinse with warm water will make sure the bowl is clean. Use dish-soap if you think it is necessary. Over time, your Canadiano will maintain itself as the natural oils from your preferred coffee beans build up after each use.

If you chose to use your own coffee beans we suggest grinding your coffee coarser or stir more during the brewing period. We suggest starting with coarse setting, something similar to french press and grinding finer one step at a time until you reach the optimum setting based on your preferences.

Seasoning Steps:
1- Wash your Canadiano with soap and warm water.
2-Rinse it.
3- leave it to air-dry before first use.
4- Season the bowl with a strong coffee using 3-4 table spoons of coffee.
5- Place your Canadiano on-top of a large cup.
6-Pour some boiled water onto the coffee.
7- Let it steep, stir regularly, drip and fill the cup. Then rinse thoroughly.
8- Don’t drink the first coffee, it may have sawdust, natural oils or ship dust.
6- Now you are ready to brew your first cup of Canadiano!
