I wrote that on there when we were shipping them, because I had a used set as well. I see this in some cases, But the mounting ring covers the outside. So its not a cosmetic place on the light. I do not mind to take it back, or if you want a small discount will be fine as well. or if you want to send the one light back and I can replace it. I am pretty sure I have another set just came in.
