iBeaconに使用しているBT LE はこれまでのBTとは違い、省電力化が進んでいる

iBeaconでどんなことができるのか?
例を一つ上げると、ビーコンを内蔵した小さなデバイス(発信端末)を店内のあちこちに設置します。
iPhone(受信端末)を持ったユーザがお店の中に入ると、ビーコンとiPhoneがBT LEで通信します。

As generally BT has large power consumption, the image is it is difficult to use on a steady basis.
The new BT LE used by iBeacon is different from the BT due to advanced power saving, it can be used on a regular basis.
