You are bidding on a Gemeinhardt Model 3S (M3S) flute with a low B foot (3SB). There is a solid silver head joint, foot joint, and body. The flute is in excellent condition.
Based on the serial number, this flute was made in early 1977 by Gemeinhardt and was designated as a M3S with a low B foot. Later that year, the identical flute was made, but the model number was changed to 3SB to distinguish between it and the 3S without the B foot.
I bought this flute about 15 years ago with the intention of beginning to play again but never did, so it has basically been stored in my closet the last 15 years. The man I bought it from taught himself how to play it and said he dabbled at it over the years, so I don't think it has been played a great deal. The outside of the case is in good condition (nothing fancy) and has 1 small ding (shown in the left lower corner on the picture of the case). The inside of the case is pristine. The flute itself has absolutely no dents and only very superficial scratches, which you can see in the photos. It is a gem!
