「カラスの涙」はマルチプレーンカメラを使用した短編アニメーション作品。マルチプレーンカメラとは、セルアニメの制作で使用された特殊な映画撮影用のカメラのことを指す。「カラスの涙」では、そのカメラを使用し一枚一枚手描きの原画を撮影して制作している。

同作品は、日本のカラスを描くという主題から出発し、画材に和紙、墨汁、岩絵の具を採用。普段ではあまり採用されることのない画材を選択することで、新たな映像表現の可能性を広げることを目指している。
マルチプレーンカメラを利用した制作手法は、PCが普及した現代ではほとんど行われていない。この技法は映像にデジタル処理だけでは表現できない特有の空気感や暖かみを持たせることが可能となっており、その価値を発信するというのもこのプロジェクトの目的のひとつ。

It was started under the theme <draw Japanese crow>, using Japanese paper, liquid ink and natural mineral pigments as materials. By choosing materials scarcely used,he aims to expand the possibility of new picture expressions.
Since PC has become common, a production method by using a multi-plane camera is rarely used at the present day. This technique enables him to express distinctive atmosphere and a warm feel in the images which can not be expressed just by digital processing. Transmitting its value is one of the aims of this project.

Started with a theme of drawing Japanese crows, this series of artworks uses Japanese paper (washi), black writing fluid and mineral pigments as painting materials. By choosing these materials that are not usually used for painting, the project aims to expand the capability of new image expression.
The production method using a multiplane camera technique is hardly adopted nowadays when personal computers are widely used. This technique allows artworks to have a unique airy ambience and tranquility which cannot be expressed only with digital processing, and conveying such a value is one of this project’s goals as well.

CAMPFIREでは制作費の一部として30万円を募った。プロジェクトは2012/12/13にSUCCESSし、パトロンの募集を終了している。同作品の完成は2013年の春を予定。

CAMPFIRE asked for subscriptions at a cost of ¥ 300,000 for a portion of the production costs. The project was successfully accomplished on December 13, 2012 and closed the subscriptions. The work will be finished in the spring of 2013.
