Tales of Xilliaは、テイルズ作品の初のPS3タイトルであり、15周年記念作品です。

この作品の特徴は、主人公が2人いる事です。主人公は医学生のJude Mathisと、自分をspiritsのMaxwellだと名乗るMilla Maxwellの二人の視点から、
物語は語られます。どちらか片方の視点からでも物語の大枠を把握することは出来ますが、より深く理解するためには2週する必要があります。

この作品は、「ミラの強さ」と「ジュードの強さ」が強く描かれています。

The characteristic of this game is that it features two protagonists: medical student Jude Mathis and Milla who claims to be Maxwell's spirit. The story is narrated from both points of view. You can understand the gist of the story from one point of view, but to understand it deeply, you need to make 2 rounds.

This story mainly depicts on Milla's strength and Jude's strength as well.

ミラはspiritsとして、世界の秩序を守るために戦います。その覚悟と信念は、どんな状況であっても決して折れることはなく、

Jude is a human and in many cases he does not like to fight. However, he is polite, intelligent and kind, so his friends naturally like him.

Milla fights to protect world order as spirits. Her determination and belief never surrender in any situation, she exists as hope for Jude and others.
She appears to be perfect, but she tells you the secret of her strength through communcating with Jude.

Unlike Milla who is depicted as strong from the beginning, Jude is once thrown in to the depth of despair from an incident in the story.

Mira is a spirit fighting to keep the world's order. Her convictions will never be bent under any circumstances, and she exists as a hope for Jude and their friends.

この作品には、他のテイルズ作品と比べても多くの「死」と「裏切り」が描かれます。
仲間内も初めから仲が良かったわけではなく、困難を共にすることにより、絆が深まってゆきます。
Xilliaはテイルズシリーズでは珍しく、続編が発表されている作品なので、是非皆さんもTales of Xillia2をプレイする前にXilliaをプレイしましょう！
