If one thinks of life and it's challenges, then one might also ask the question of how to meet these many challenges in our life. I feel it is with an innocent mind with that we can cut through every problem we meet in life and still at the end come out unscathed.
For me, one of the symbols of innocence are plum blossoms. In my photographs, their color and fragility stands for innocence, and the rocks stand for challenges in our lives. This I want convey to kids, to stay innocent;  also, in the face of challenges, to overcome them unscarred.

人生とそれが与える試練に思いをいたすなら、人生におけるそうした多くの試練にどう立ち向かうかという疑問も生まれるだろう。私には純真な心を持っていれば人生で出くわすあらゆる問題を切り開いてゆけるだろうし、なおかつ結果的に難を避けることができるだろうと思える。
私にとって、純真さのシンボルと言えるものには、梅の花がある。写真集を見ると、その色とはかなさは純真さを表わし、岩は私たちの人生における試練を表している。このことを、いつまでも純真でいるようにということを、子供たちに伝えたい。また、試練に出くわしても、傷つくことなくそれを克服してもらいたいと。

人は、人生というもの、そして人生とは挑戦であるといったことを考えた場合、そのような人生で直面する数多くの困難にどう対処したらいいのかとも尋ねるかもしれません。人は人生で直面する全ての問題を自分で切り開く力を持っていて、最後には傷つかずに解決できると、私は純粋に感じています。
私にとって、純真無垢を象徴するものの一つは、梅の花です。私の写真では、花の色や儚さが無垢を表現しており、岩が人生の荒波を表しています。私には子供たちに伝えたい事があります。無垢でいて欲しいと。そしてもう一つ、困難に直面した時には、傷つかずに困難にうち勝てと。
